Stoneware is clay that is very hard and smooth. It can be fired up to 1280 ºC, at which point it vitrifies, making it suitable for the production of very strong objects like garden products. It is a very good clay to use with molds and it can also be turned on a wheel. Stoneware pieces, if glazed, are impermeable to liquids.
